A Bowl of Oranges, a Golden Compass Part Two: or "Bowling for Geranimo"

In part one, I looked at some of the recent ORANGE related connections America's true pastime, football...and some links that resonate highly with the harvest season, traditional Thanksgiving rituals, and some high profile deaths that have occurred during this time which I feel manifest as a result of living in a land that is bathed in blood and death worship.

Back to football....consider the roots of the sport itself. Just about any source will trace American football to the various forms of Rugby in the United Kingdom. It's not exactly the game we are concerned about though. It's all about the ball, isn't it? And what does this ball represent? Well, if you've been reading my articles of late the answer is CRYSTAL clear...the ball is merely a skull, the head of your enemies. Today we still refer to the football as a "pigskin"...after skulls went out of favor most balls were made from the bladder of an animal...ritual, plain and simple.

A man by the name of Walter Camp is considered the father of American football...In the 1880's he started to establish specific RULES that set the game apart from it's British cousin. In those days most organized games were played in the North Eastern United States at primarily Ivy League Universities. Walter Camp was from Yale, a member of the countries most elite fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon...as well as home to The Skull and Bones Society, and many say the skull of American Indian Geronimo. Anyone unfamiliar with Yale, Delta Kappa Epsilon or Skull & Bones, I suggest you take an hour or two and check into the histories, and members of these institutions.

The Original Coat of Arms of Delta Kappa Epsilon

Both George H.W. Bush, and his son George W. Bush served as members of the DKE's, as well as Skull and Bones during their time at Yale. There are two other lesser known secret societies at Yale, The Scroll and Key and The Wolf's Head Society. Elder Bush's father Prescott Bush was a "Bonesman" as well as a senior partner with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. who would become the single trustee of The Russell Trust AssoCIAtion the corporate entity of Skull and Bones. Even Prescott's father James Bush was a Grey Friar member of Yale's Wolf's Head Society back in 1844. Aside from Prescott Bush's documented financial dealings with the Nazis during WWII, he is said to have actually stolen the skull and bones of the legendary Chiricahua Apache Indian Geronimo.

the story as it appears on wikipedia:
In 1918, certain remains of Geronimo were stolen in a grave robbery. Three members of the Yale secret society of Skull and Bones served as Army volunteers at Fort Sill during World War I; one of those three members was Prescott Bush, father of the forty-first President of the United States George H. W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush. They reportedly stole Geronimo's skull, some bones, and other items, including Geronimo's prized silver bridle, from the Apache Indian Prisoner of War Cemetery. The stolen items were alleged to have been taken to the society's tomb-like headquarters on the Yale University campus, and are supposedly used in rituals practiced by the group, one of which is said to be kissing the skull of Geronimo as an initiation. The story was known for many years but widely considered unlikely or apocryphal, and while the society itself remained silent, former members have said that they believed the bones were fake or non-human, possibly in an attempt at misdirection.

In a contemporary letter discovered by the Yale historian Marc Wortman and published in the Yale Alumni Magazine in 2006, society member Winter Mead wrote to F. Trubee Davison:

The skull of the worthy Geronimo the Terrible, exhumed from its tomb at Fort Sill by your club... is now safe inside the tomb ("tomb" is the building at Yale University's Skull and Bones) and bone together with his well worn femurs, bit and saddle horn.

A few interesting locations related to the life of Geronimo:

1) Born near Turkey Creek a tributary of the Gila River in what is now New Mexico.
2) Captured 1886 by U.S. Army at Skeleton Canyon, Arizona

It's always been their game, and their rules...next time Mascots/familiars

Wikipedia explains that Geronimo's name wasn't actually Geronimo - that is a name given to him by the Mexicans, after St. Jerome. Interestingly, illustrations of St. Jerome typically picture him with a skull. Maybe the Bonesmen are really interested in St. Jerome and not Geronimo.

That picture at the beginning of your article, the half-football half-skull, looks a hell of a lot like a DEAD POPE lol

All great points, thanks all.

just me:
I had thought about going into the name game. The St. Jerome imagery is certainly interesting, and I will continue to examine it for future work. Once I conclude the football side of this thread. I am anxious to see where I will be led next.

They do seem preoccupied with certain Saints, and so it's a valid thought.

Todd, the new European treaty was signed today - at the 16th century Jeronimos Monastery in Portugal.

27 members, 3 x 3 x 3.

Signed 13th December, St Lucia's Day. Don't know exact time Gordon Brown signed it yet, but mid afternoon, would guess at 3.33. It was after every other country though.

Island of St Lucia - once known as Helen of the West Indies after Helen of Troy.

Another wee thing might be of interest. St. Jerome took the thorn out a lions paw - the lions paw being a freemasonic symbol.

Bo Pelini, born 13th December, just gone to Nabraska University

Also the festival of Lussi, or Saint Lucy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Lucia_Day

Lucifer etc, Darkness & Light.

Templars as well in the year 1312.

Have got a lot to say on it, will try to write more when get time.

take care, cheers again.

Hey ma nizzy,

Robert Downey from the Dangerfield vehicle 'Back to School': ...football is a crypto-fascist metaphor for nuclear war.

On any given Sunday, we will crush you! You'll pay for it. You'll beg for more.

Death is a consumer concern. It seems folks are all to eager to pay in advance for the apocalypse that they'll get later, for free.

Death is a growth industry.

Cool work Todd

In an old atricle
http://thebravenewworldorder.blogspot.com/2007/02/sphinx-horus-part-2-of-3.html

It was highlighted that "Thus Matt Damon is initiated in one film (The Good Shepherd) as a Skull and Bones member as well as a trying to capture Geronimo (Geronimo: An American Legend). in another. Beautiful..."

Cheers friend!
