"For the Love of God"

Artist Damien Hirst is back in the news...Beverly Stringer at Exploring The Mysterious brought Mr. Hirst to our attention back on Aug. 21st with the following article

It appears now he's moved up the ladder a few more rungs after netting $100 Million for his Platinum & Diamond encrusted skull called "For the Love of God"

Artist Damien Hirst’s platinum cast of a human skull, titled “For the Love of God,” is covered with 8,601 ethically sourced diamonds. Forensic experts concluded it was male, probably of European origin and about 35 years old at the time of death. Radiocarbon analysis suggests that he lived sometime between 1720 and 1810.

The "objet d'art" sold to an "investment group" (wonder what that list of names looks like?) who claim they will in turn sell it at some point...I wonder what the skull will be used for in the meantime? The Templars had a certain habit of communing with craniums back in the day if I'm not mistaken...

For more on Hirst, you can check him out via his Gallery "White Cube" (interesting)

Get "Well" Kentroversy

For those who have not heard yet, Kent Daniel Bentkowski aka Kentroversy had a most horrific medical situation this month. He is doing much better, and everyone will be hearing from him soon, I am glad to report.

In dedication to Kent and 117 Year Old Birthday boy H.P. Lovecraft (Aug. 20th) on this eve of the Lovecraft Roundtable Podcast recording on Occult of Personality (Greg we ALL thank you) I provide you with a teaser...

From Rod Sterling's under-appreciated "Night Gallery" TV show an INCREDIBLE segment entitled "Professor Peabody's Last Lecture" starring Carl Reiner.

Alternative 3

This 1977 (Originally to air April 1st the broadcast was delayed until June) UK TV special edition of "Science Report" was announced as a "War of the Worlds" type hoax after it created much anxiety.

In 1978 a book was released by Leslie Watkins which further examined the story of Alternative 3

Compelling 30 years later. Disinformation or Predictive Programming? Either way, a brilliant piece with original music by Brian Eno.

Up, up and Away

Balloons have been a topic of some importance this summer...sadly, tragic events happen.

2 Dead, 11 injured

007 himself Daniel Craig appeared in the film "Enduring Love" just two years ago which could almost mirror the events of this past weekend. Daniel appears in "The Invasion" currently with the former Mrs. Cruise, and again in the upcoming "The Golden Compass" a film of some note which Ben Fairhall writes about recently.

New child STAR Dakota Blue Richards...Dakota "War of the Worlds" Fanning stars with Tom Cruise, The "Dakota" in N.Y. which was the death site of John Lennon, and birth site of Rosemary's Baby. Director Roman Polanski's wife Sharon Tate was murdered at the hands of the Manson Family, Manson had been a Scientologist...and suggested that the Beatles were speaking to him via their music. Helter Skelter.

Enduring Love

Review by David Stratton

‘Enduring Love’ begins on a peaceful summer day in the English countryside which turns to tragedy when a man dies in a ballooning accident.

Among the witnesses are Joe, (Daniel Craig), an academic who was picnicking with his girlfriend, Claire, (Samantha Morton), and Jed, (Rhys Ifans). Over the non-religious Joe's objections, Jed insists they pray for the dead man.

Back in London, Joe becomes more and more discomfited by the unsettling presence of Jed, who phones him, visits his flat, and follows him wherever he goes.

Jed is insistent that Joe loves him, Joe is so frustrated and intimidated by the situation that his relationship with Claire begins to suffer. A visit to the dead man's widow reveals that she suspects her husband was having an affair.

Joe Penhall's adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel follows the original closely until the end, when there's a sharp deviation.

This may annoy anyone who's read the book, though it has the seal of approval of McEwan himself, who is credited as the film's associate producer.

The ending aside, this is a gripping story of obsession, in which Rhys Ifans gives his best screen performance yet as the deranged and seemingly unstoppable Jed.

It's a horror film, really, but a very realistic one which deals with everyday events and relationships and then adds a wild card in the form of a madman who just won't go away.

O Superman

Harkening back to my article of July 10th, 2007 entitled "Foxes, Fires and the Art of War: or "Are foxes guarding the hen house?" many of you will surely be aware of the upcoming motion picture "Valkryie", which deals with the 1944 Plot to assassinate Adolph Hitler. The film stars Tom Cruise (pictured left in costume) as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg. The basic plot is as follows:

At the height of WW2, a group of high-ranking German officers hatched a plot to assasinate Adolf Hitler, and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. The operation was codenamed "Valkyrie", for the emergency plan that was meant to be used in case of a revolt against the Nazi government. This plan had been modified by the conspirators to ensure their success, but for various reasons the plot failed when finally carried out on 20 July 1944. The conspirators of the inner circle were shot after a kangaroo trial or sentenced to death soon after.

The filming has created a tremendous amount of controversy (which should translate well at the Box Office). Germans have been troubled by a film that glorifies Nazis, and Tom Cruise's belief in Scientology has equally been bothersome as Scientology is considered a Cult in Germany. On 8/18/2007 an accident took place on the set, and "11" (any of you numbers experts out there, I'd be curious to get your take on these numbers) extras were injuried.

The director of "Valkryie" is Bryan Singer, who brought us "X-Men" & "X2", "Apt Pupil" (another film of Nazi content), he served as executive producer of the 2005 TV mini-series "The Triangle", he also brought us UberMench "Superman Returns" as well as the upcoming "Superman: Man of Steel" . I am certainly not suggesting that Singer (who is both Jewish and openly gay) is a Nazi but he certainly has a fascination with them, and many themes which the Nazis' themselves were interested. The following quote from his wikipedia page is interesting, and also supports my statement.

"In 1998, Singer directed Apt Pupil, from a screenplay written by Brandon Boyce, another of his friends. The story, adapted from a Stephen King novella of the same name (collected in the book Different Seasons), tells of a young boy who develops a morbid fascination with a Nazi war criminal. An experience from Singer's childhood, where he and his friends briefly formed a "Nazi Club", is often cited as attracting him to this project (Singer said this club was born not out of anti-Semitism but rather due to the kids' fascination with World War II)."

The World According to Smirnoff

The advertising at Smirnoff sure does seem to be geared towards them having some "truths" or "knowledge" about the world we live in (because they distill 10 Times?)...Purity, eugenics and an elite master race being thrown in the face of their own customer base...bottle after bottle. Seeing CLEARLY (sure we all do after a few shots of Vodka, right?), Perfection...

Or how about a Smirnoff bloodline to the ruling classes (or perhaps the spread of the RED Wave of Communism?).

BEE here Now

It is looking like the BEE cycle is gearing up again...BEEware

This is a collection of wonderful material well worth checking out. I have a feeling the amount of material will triple in a short period of time.

And away we go...

H.A.R.P. , Earthquakes, and Atlantis?

In the 1990's Fox Network nearly single-handedly saved Marvel Comics from impending bankruptcy (they must have seen the VALUE of predictive programming inherent in comics...a virtual Goldmine) ...In the wake of recent events, this "Avengers" episode entitled "To Rule Atlantis" seems more than appropriate.

Sorry for all the cartoons lately. What can I say...they often tell the tale better than I ever could.

Two Super Friends

This one is for David. King Nepto Arise!
This just in! You can catch Mr. South-Well on the current Occult of Personality Podcast. Bravo David!

Synchromagnus Jake Kotze sent me this link. I post it here for your viewing (and nostalgic) pleasure.

Blue Hawaii

If you weren't aware it seems there were a number of anomalies associated with the Earthquake/ Hurricane "Flossie" fizzle in the Pacific last week. By coincidence last week also marked the 30th Anniversary of Elvis Presley's well as a Earth, Venus, Sun, Mercury conjunction [see Etemenanki]

A.V. Michaels has been all over it at Surfing the Tao (direct from Hawaii),

as well as Kean Matthams (a thousand apologies for citing Kean as Matthews before) who writes A Kean Eye (who happened to be in Hawaii at the time).

It would also seem that now the anomalies witnessed in Hawaii were also present in Peru just in time for an earthquake event of epic scale.

Earthlights on Peru's Earthquake?
and the follow-up story

A.V. Michaels is also reporting odd stories out of Oklahoma where floods caused by the remains of Hurricane Erin have now moved North and claimed 22 lives after merging with another storm system.

It is intersting to note that on September 11th, 1992 Hawaii was hit by hurricane INIKI (to date the most powerful storm to hit Hawaii). The Coco Palms Resort where most of Elvis' "Blue Hawaii" film was shot was destroyed and left untouched for 10 years. Among those on the island of Kauaʻi was filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who was preparing for the final day of on-location shooting of the movie Jurassic Park.

Silver, Wells, Tritons and "Bloody" Hammers

In my recent posting "The Invasion Begins Today" one of the most discussed aspects of the trailer was the appearance of an oddly vague cube shaped logo which follows those of Warner Brothers and Village Roadshow Pictures. After less than fruitful attempts to seek out the host company of said design, Miss Hoi Polloi correctly predicted that it belonged to one Joel Silver's, Silver Pictures (Producer of "Conspiracy Theory", "The Matrix" trilogy, and the recently signed remake of "Logan's Run"). Thanks to reader "Zapo" (Scott) for capturing the Silver Pictures logo and sending it to me with such speed!

Anyone care to speculate on this logo?

In an odd synchromystical (Lazy shorthand as it might seem) connection SILVER ties in directly with my recent preoccupation with "Wells", Mining, The Brotherhood of Neptune/Tridents...not to mention the work others have done with our comic book pals The Silver Surfer, Thor, Sub-Mariner, and Aquaman.

Joel Silver was executive producer of a short lived (3 Seasons) Buffy-esque TV show called Veronica Mars which upon further investigation uncovered several interesting results. The series takes place in the fictional seaside town of Neptune, California. At the beginning of the series the main character attends Neptune High School, and later graduates to start attending Hearst College (could this reference William Randolph Hearst?, always considered the model for Orson Welles' "Citizen Kane"). Veronica's best gal-pal is named Lilly Kane...have fun with that one gang! Several secret societies cropped up on the show, one "The Tritons" and the other was known as "the Castle" and was based upon The Skull and Bones at Yale.

Continuing with the Silver thread, I turn to The Beatles and Maxwell's (WELL-WELL) Silver Hammer from the album Abbey Road. To me, an odd song with odd lyrics...the song has often been connected to the Tate-La Bianca murders committed by the Manson Family only months after the songs completion and release. It would also seem that neither George nor John cared much for the song while "Sir" Paul spoke of it as such...

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is my analogy for when something goes wrong out of the blue, as it so often does, as I was beginning to find out at that time in my life. I wanted something symbolic of that, so to me it was some fictitious character called Maxwell with a silver hammer. I don't know why it was silver, it just sounded better than Maxwell's hammer. It was needed for scanning. We still use that expression now when something unexpected happens."

David, you'll love this bit...In the above clip from "Let It Be" watch as Paul "teaches" the song to the boys and at 1 min. 18 sec. substitutes the line "Make sure that George was dead" Another in a LONG line of creepy Beatles moments.

Joan was quizzical; studied pataphysical

But as she's getting ready to go,
A knock comes on the door.

In the time that it took me to make two posts this morning...This news out of the Philippines

Watch out San Francisco!

The Red Cross (Busy as Bees these days) has planned a creepy little demonstration for you, staring today in Union Square (hmm...) which they hope will "shake" things up a bit with the general apathy in regards to Earthquake preparedness. You don't say...

"Super Crack" Union Square, Geary and Powell, SF; (415) 427-8183. 8am-2pm, free. Through Aug 23. What's this I hear about "super crack" in Union Square? Is this like when 20/20 got all up in arms about Mexican ice being "super meth"? Are crackheads going to hover six inches off the ground with their heads spinning à la Linda Blair in The Exorcist? Oh, it's not like that at all, huh? The "Super Crack" is a simulated earthquake fissure installed in Union Square by the Red Cross, complete with disaster preparedness training (Mon/20, 12:30pm; Tues/21 and Aug 23, 2pm) and disaster kits for sale. Hmm. They've really got to be careful how they advertise this.*

Red Cross uses Guerrilla tactics

Notice what sits smack dab in the center of Union Square...

Irwin Allen directs "The Summer of 2007"

Sorry that I couldn't get this info out over the weekend...( I no longer have internet service from my dwelling which makes weekend work a bit of an issue. Trying to figure a way of correcting this soon).

Anyway...The Brotherhood of Neptune (which honestly started as a joke) seems to have continued through the rest of the weekend. This is starting to play out like a REALLY bad 1970's disaster movie... Beginning on Saturday and continuing through this morning quakes have shook East Africa...and it seems this particular threat has been ongoing...

"The latest quakes revived July fears when panicked workers emptied high rise buildings after several tremors struck Nairobi over five days.

The government blamed the successive July quakes on stirring underneath Ol Donyo Lengai, an active volcano 240km southwest of Nairobi in Tanzania."

Friday, we saw more oceanic (LOST airline) earthquakes in Indonesia the second series of events in that region in less than two weeks. Along with earthquakes, now Volcanic activity joins the mix.

East Indonesian Volcano erupts!
Indonesian Undersea Quakes
Ethiopian Volcano
Alaskan Volcano Erupts

The tragedy of the "Wells" mining thread continued Friday when news broke of 181 Chinese miners trapped after flood waters breeched, and entered the mine in which they were working...I wish, I could say I was making all this up but one just need tune into the news or pick up a paper to see the VERY odd string of connections at work around the globe.

Flood traps miners in China

Without even mentioning the brutal Heat Waves or Hurricane "Dean" wobbling towards the Mexican/U.S. Gulf seems oddly impossible to even keep up with the ongoing "natural" (? this is the BIG question) disasters that are keeping us preoccupied for the time being...we must ask ourselves, what is behind the slight of hand?

Anyone notice anything striking about the two images used in this post?

The Invasion Begins Today

After the synchs I'm seeing the past few days, and the beginning of this trailer I'm not so sure THIS is a good idea...

All's WELL That Ends WELL

Well, well, well...

According to a "Well" is defined as:
well2 [wel] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun
1.a hole drilled or bored into the earth to obtain water, petroleum, natural gas, brine, or sulfur.
2.a spring or natural source of water. apparent reservoir or a source of human feelings, emotions, energy, etc.: He was a well of gentleness and courtesy.
4.a container, receptacle, or reservoir for a liquid: the well of ink in a fountain pen.
5.any sunken or deep, enclosed space, as a shaft for air or light, stairs, or an elevator, extending vertically through the floors of a building.
a.a part of a weather deck between two superstructures, extending from one side of a vessel to the other.
b.a compartment or enclosure around a ship's pumps to make them easily accessible and protect them from being damaged by the cargo.
7.a hollow compartment, recessed area, or depression for holding a specific item or items, as fish in the bottom of a boat or the retracted wheels of an airplane in flight.
8.any shaft dug or bored into the earth, as for storage space or a mine.
–verb (used without object) rise, spring, or gush, as water, from the earth or some other source (often fol. by up, out, forth): Tears welled up in my eyes. or
–verb (used with object) send welling up or forth: a fountain welling its pure water.
–adjective, of, resembling, from, or used in connection with a well.

Consider the mining and alchemical connotations of these historic EYE-CONS: H.G. (MERCURY) Wells, Orson (ORE) Welles and his Mercury Theater, George Orwell (ORE-WELL or MINE), and Gold Rush profiteers Wells Fargo...

In the news CURRENTLY...Miners trapped in Utah Mine since August 6th. The speculation continues as to if an earthquake caused the accident to begin with. Crandall Canyon Mine co-owner Robert Murray protecting his ASSets, goes with the earthquake theory while local geologists tend to think otherwise.

Mercury runoff from a Gold Mines in rural Guyana (Jim Jones anyone? As many have speculated a CIA backed Mining Operation) appear to be poisoning local villagers.

Areas of Peru near the epicenter of the recent Earthquake disaster were mined for literally centuries by the Spanish for their rich deposits of Mercury and Silver. Consider also the MAD HATTER (from the phrase "Mad as a Hatter") dash in the Arctic Sea currently for control of that area's natural resources...(or does this particular WELL run deeper perhaps?) More on this later...

There is also the possibility that the root of the term "mad hatter" is drawn from a time when mercury was used in the process of curing felt used in some hats. It was impossible for hatters to avoid inhaling the mercury fumes given off during the hat making process. Over time, the residual mercury caused neurological damage, as well as confused speech and distorted vision. As the mercury poisoning progressed to dangerously high levels, sufferers could also experience psychotic symptoms, such as hallucinations. Given that anyone exhibiting an altered mental state was dubbed mad at the time, the cause of such malady, and subsequent death of such people doubtless went unexplained for a long time.
- From Wikipedia entry "Mad Hatter"

I must credit the usual suspects for their work in the areas of Mercury and Alchemy:

The Trident Strikes Again

Less than 24 hours after posting about the increase in Earthquakes worldwide over the past few weeks, tragedy strikes in Peru (Just South of Lima) in the form of a massive 7.9 earthquake. Current reports are suggesting that 337 are dead and thousands are injured.

This was the initial report from The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The Situation

At 18:40 local time on 15 August 2007, an earthquake of 7.9 on the Richter scale (source US Geological Survey) hit Peru, with the epicentre 43 km South West of San Vicente de Cañete, south of Lima. Replicas have been felt since this earthquake.

The epicentre was registered 33km below the earth's surface (Geophysics Institute of Peru). The town nearest to the epicentre is Chincha Alta. In Ica, a town also very near the epicentre, preliminary reports are indicating 37 deaths and 300 people injured, and numbers are rising as new information is made available. The Peruvian Civil Defence System (Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil - INDECI) is currently setting up a situation room to respond to the emergency.

The earthquake caused buildings to shake and hundreds of people to run out into the streets after the tremors were felt in the capital of Lima and towns near the epicentre. There has been damage to buildings and electricity has been cut off in some areas. All flights from the international airport in Lima have been temporarily suspended. As a preventative measure, a tsunami warning was issued for Chile, Colombia Ecuador and Peru by the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics

Shortly after the earthquakes, the President of Peru made a national statement confirming that all national authorities were on high alert to respond to the situation and that all health services and centres must be on red alert, requesting all doctors to make themselves available and for all services to be free of charge for those who may need it.

Over at Surfing the Tao (who lives in Hawaii) check the following two posts for some interesting commentary regarding the recent state of the weather:

The Brotherhood of Neptune?

Cartoon Network's former Sealab 2021 takes a stab at our side of the street. Funny stuff!

But the last two weeks we've seen Jellyfish blooms creating havoc around the globe for several days, oceanic earthquakes, more flooding, this time in Korea.

The very same week German scientists unleash a genetically altered Hydra (12 headed jellyfish) to the media...and National Geographic Channel airs a special on "The Jellyfish Invasion", Wed. Aug. 8th

This year's Cannes Film Festival saw an Israeli/French production called Les Méduses ("Jellyfish").

At her wedding reception, Keren breaks a leg, unwillingly forcing her to cancel her honeymoon in the Caribbean. A strange little girl comes out of the sea and follows Batya like a shadow; the woman's life is transformed when she takes the little girl under her wing. Joy is a maid from the Philippines working for a tough old woman; unwittingly, she helps the woman reconcile with her estranged daughter A composite film made from scraps of humanity, like so many messages in a bottle verging on the absurd. A portrait of a messy world in which everyone scrapes by as best they can, looking for love and something to remember or to forget. Such is life in Tel Aviv...

A "strange" little girl comes out of the sea?

The Sky is Falling...again, and again, and again.

Eso-homoerotic researcher Michael (GOSPORN) brings his unique insight to the Disney animated film "Chicken Little" in his newest offering "One Little Slip" written about here in my article "Foxes, Fires and the Art of Deception: or Is the sky REALLY falling?" and demonstrated to perfection in Jake Kotze's video "Thoth Duck and the Pillarmid Gate(Comic Book Cycle Part 2) prior.

The "sky is falling" motif seems to be in the hearts and minds of media right now (and being pushed onto an unsuspecting public) as a quick Google News search will unleash over 2,000 relavant news stories with many of them incorporating the phrase into the title or body of the article. I noticed this a few days ago in massive bold font at The Drudge Report as the headline for the New York City storm which caused widespread flooding and a tornado in Brooklyn.

Here are a few other examples currently in the news:
"The Sky is Falling in August"
On the upcoming (Aug. 12th & 13th) Perseid meteor shower
"Sonics owner may feel as if sky is falling"
On the NBA betting scandal and state of Pro Basketball
"The sky is falling...don't say we didn't warn you"
On the plummeting stock market

With the increasing, and numerous Earthquakes, thermometer busting temperatures and massive floods around the would appear that something is indeed, "up". Changes are happening quickly, I guess the question is are they natural, man-made, or self created as the Global Elite seem hell-bent to cram down our throats.

Please Welcome Soca7 & Monkey Puzzla

I came across this video yesterday...knowledgeable, well spoken and passionate. Worth a watch...It seems Soca7 has been at this a while, and yet he's a new face to me. So, I just wanted to welcome he and Monkey Puzzla into my fold today. Along with their joint venture "The Seventh Key" this double shot of Esoteric Research includes tons of videos, music, links, and a blog that appears to be getting off the ground. There are a number of associated sites I will post the links below. Enjoy!
