The Man Who Lies is No More

The world lost one of the most innovative, and perhaps complicated artistic minds in recent history with the passing of noted novelist, and filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet last week in France at the age of 85. Known by many as the father of the nouveau roman (new novel), he is perhaps best known as the Screenwriter of Alain Renais' 1961 film "Last Year at Marienbad". He had become an esteemed member of the Acad'emie francaise in 2004.

Robbe-Grillet during a semester (1992) intensive course taught by two Robbe-Grillet scholars, Mr. Roch Smith and Anthony Fragola while an undergraduate at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Robbe-Grillet himself had been a lecturer in residence at the university in the Fall of 1987.

Wednesday (Feb. 20th) afternoon two F-15C EAGLES collided mid-air over the Gulf of Mexico during a "training" exercise some 77 miles from their departure point at Eglin Air Force Base (note: the pilots affiliated with this squadron are referred to as "The Gorillas"). The F-15 has had numerous malfunctions and accidents over the past year, and were grounded by the Air Force for a period of time late last year.

From January 1984 to September 1986, an F-15A was used as a launch platform for five ASM-135 anti-satellite (ASAT) missiles. The F-15A went into a Mach 1.22, 3.8 g climb of 65° and released the ASAT missile at an altitude of 38,100 feet (11.6 km). The F-15A computer was updated to control the zoom-climb and missile release. The third test flight involved a retired communications satellite in a 345 statute mile (555 km) orbit, which was successfully destroyed by sheer kinetic energy. The pilot, USAF Major Wilbert D. "Doug" Pearson, became the only pilot to destroy a satellite.

The ASAT missile was designed to be a standoff anti-satellite weapon, with the F-15A acting as a first stage. The Soviet Union could interpret a U.S. rocket launch with a spy satellite loss, but an F-15 carrying an ASAT would blend in among hundreds of F-15 flights.

Some 26 minutes after the Moon, Lord of the Rings (Saturn), HEART of Leo (Regulus) alignment was taking place at approx. 10:00 pm EST (which, if you were lucky enough to see; was truly breathtaking), the U.S. Navy fired at and successfully fragmented the bus sized spy satellite, which was inoperable and carrying a payload of "toxic" fuel. At a total speculated cost of $30 million, one wonders about the "official" explanation regarding the U.S.'s concern for human life given the HIGHLY magickal atmosphere at the time of the operation. One which seems to have been awaiting the arrival of US Defense Secretary Robert Gates in order to officially give the command to "fire".

Less than 24 hours later...fire and chaos in Kosovo, as Serbian protesters (approx. 150,000 strong) rioted, setting fire to the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade (also attacked were the Croatian, British, Turkish, and Bosnian). Images of the Albanian flag have captured headlines from Kosovo since this past Sunday, when Pro-Independence supporters took up the DOUBLE EAGLE as their banner.

The Hellbound Heart

Should it really have come as any surprise that plans are in the works for a retooled version of the original Hellraiser movie franchise? Thats right, the 1987 film based on the Clive Barker novella The Hellbound Heart is getting a face lift, and it was announced this weekend that the writers of Saw IV & V (Marcus Dunston and Patrick Melton) will be providing the script.

It is important to remember that as we entered the new year, scientists in the United States were re-animating the hearts of dead rats (as we passed into the lunar Year of the Rat on Feb. 7th) which led to the creation of entirely new rat hearts. Anyone familiar with the Hellraiser mythos can see the similarities here...for those not quite sure, I'd suggest watching.

Friday, February 15th 2008 ABC television's "20/20" investigative news show featured a creepy expose' on the hugely popular "Bodies" exhibits that have been circulating the globe via two separate production companies. According to "20/20" the Hellraiser-ish art/educational sideshow has been receiving it's cadavers from less than reputable sources from China, and there is credible enough evidence to suggest that some of the bodies could have been those of unidentified political prisoners whom had been executed.

The Saturn Hexagon on the North Pole from Cassini

Boards of Canada have been linked to a Scottish music collective known as Hexagon Sun...The existence of Hexagon Sun and oblique references to it in interviews, web sites and album packaging have contributed to what many people regard as the mythological aura surrounding Boards of Canada. Opinions on this subject differ greatly; some people regard Hexagon Sun as a mysterious cult, while others believe that it is simply a title for the band's recording studio. It is believed that Hexagon Sun have held parties in the past, which may be how the collective originally formed. These get-togethers were soon known as "Redmoon" events after one of their parties was during the presence of a red-colored Moon.

The End of America

Author and third-wave feminist Naomi Wolf spoke late last year in support of her Sept. 2007 book entitled "The End of America: A Letter of warning to a young Patriot" on the 10 Steps of Fascism, and how the United States has been moving through them. This is a pretty mainstream approach but certainly right on the money. And although I find Ms. Wolf to be naive given that she really only seems to point fingers at neo-con/right wing of America, and that she clings to a democracy that really never belonged to us in the first place; it does show that more and more people might be awakening to the larger agenda. Bravo! Worth a watch at 47 mins.

In a week that saw a Super Bowl Miracle in the Valley of the Sun, a Holmes alignment as golfer JB Holmes won a "sudden-death" victory in the desert, and the resurrection of Arizona Senator John McCain's Presidential aspirations, now the NBA's Phoenix Suns have made a trade for one of the sports most legendary giants; in the form of Superman himself, Shaquille O'Neal. The aging [Shaq, born in 1972 THE YEAR OF THE RAT which is marked today the Lunar New Year 2008] 4 time champion was dealt to Phoenix from the Miami Heat on Wednesday for Shawn Marion (known as Matrix), and bench warmer Marcus Banks.

Shaq starred in the 1997 flop "Steel" a spin off from the D.C. Comic of the same name, which was part of the Superman Universe.

O'Neal will be leaving behind teammate Dwayne Wade (aka "Flash"/ another Thoth resonator) with whom he won a championship in 2006. The trade also sees Shaq moving from a last place team to a first place one, placing both he and the Suns in direct line for a POSSIBLE showdown with a resurgent Boston Celtic franchise in the NBA Finals. The significance of this match-up is that Boston could be seeing each of it's professional teams in the three major sports playing for a championship during the 2007-2008 season.

The Sun King has arrived in Phoenix to bring a championship to a franchise about to enter it's 40th season without one...Rise Phoenix, Rise Suns...it's everywhere.

This is the OFFICIAL statement based upon the toxicology report on Heath Ledger which was just now released (the findings were supposed to be released yesterday but were postponed). That's quite a cocktail (or cock-tale depending on your point of view)...personally, I never expected much more than a straight-forward drug related cause of death but I am convinced there is more to this story than we'll ever truly know.

Some interesting developments over the past week are worth noting however. Towards the end of the day on Friday, February 1st former fiancee' Michelle Williams finally made a public statement about the death of her daughter's father saying "My HEART is BROKEN"...". This comment (not unlike the Jack Nicholson one) could be viewed in a couple of ways after unconfirmed reports of cocaine and heroin addiction had led to the split between the two Hollywood stars. Also, it was only two days later that Tom Petty and the HEARTBREAKERS dusted themselves off to participate in the traditional Super Bowl Halftime sex ritual...three of the four songs performed by Petty and the Heartbreakers that evening were from the album "Full Moon Fever"...January 22nd, 2008 was the first full moon of the year, and the day that Heath Ledger passed away. One story which hasn't received much play but I also find interesting is one that deals with an individual who had been posing as Heath's father Kim Ledger. It seems that the person responsible is either quite CRAFTY, well connected or BOTH; as he was able to obtain the direct phone numbers of multiple A-List celebrities in order to perpetrate his supposed "scam". Two of the names, whom had almost immediately been contacted by the hoaxer as news broke of Mr. Ledger's passing struck me as unusual...Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Their connections to Heath Ledger?, unknown...their connection to one another?; they are both HIGHLY visible Scientologists. PLEASE take a look at the story below...I believe the details of Heath Ledger's death are buried somewhere between the lines. Was this a "so-called" hoax or a well organized counterstrike in the actual WAR that is underway between Scientology and the generic ANONYMOUS?

UPDATE: Google representatives informed CNET News.com on Thursday that this "internal issue with Google Translate" has been fixed.

Gawker has unearthed a rather odd bug in the Google Translate software: its English-to-Spanish translator converts the name of the actor Heath Ledger, who died tragically on Tuesday, to the name of another actor--Tom Cruise. So if you enter in "I will miss Heath Ledger," Google Translate will come back with "Voy a perder Tom Cruise."

This looks like a simple bug in the system, perhaps the work of a bored Googler somewhere in the world. It only affects the English-to-Spanish translation; translations from English into other languages leave "Heath Ledger" intact, and "Tom Cruise" remains "Tom Cruise" in a Spanish-to-English translation. And the bug only appears to apply to the name "Heath Ledger," as substituting a number of other actors' names (Owen Wilson, John Travolta, Russell Crowe, Jake Gyllenhaal) also fails to yield "Tom Cruise."

Another sporting event was taking place on the other side of Phoenix...The FBR Open (formerly The Phoenix Open) Golf Tournament. The four day event ended in a one hole playoff between the favored Phil Mickleson and tour nobody J.B. Holmes
(born Campbellsville, KY)...with HOLMES taking home the victory for only his second professional win; his first coming just two years ago in the VERY same event. TIGER (orange resonator) Woods was not in the hunt for this particular title as he favored the much larger paycheck for just showing up (and eventually winning) at the Dubai Desert Classic. Of interest is the fact that TIGER actually has a gated residential golf community named for him in Dubai. I'm not kidding...by all means visit the website, you won't believe this one.

One that got away...

As January 22nd, 2008 brought the shocking news of Heath Ledger's untimely death, another JOKER was shredding his way through the competition at the Australian Open Tennis Championships. Serbian Superstar Novak Djokovic, known as "The Joker" captured his first major tournament trophy just 5 days later. How this name play escaped me is beyond belief...you really couldn't make this stuff up.
