When America took down Pablo Escobar in the mid-eighties, in Columbia, they basically started a war.

I recently read, although at the moment I can't remember where, that there is a similar situation going on in North Mexico right now.

Squads of Mexican and American soldiers are currently moving through the Mexican countryside trying to take down drug networks.

This could be in retaliation to that.

Just saw this,

"Ortega said the motive for the bombing remained unclear.

In recent weeks, police have announced the arrest in Mexico City of several alleged members of the powerful Sinaloa drug cartel, and the seizure of several large weapons caches, including grenades and high-powered rifles."

O.K. I promise this will be the last post.

But. . .I have seen 2 different shows on cable on Pablo Escobar in the past week. Starsky and Hutch is on right now (all about Cocaine), and Cocaine Cowboys (a good documentary) was on cable last month.
