War of the Roses

Anyone following Goro Adachi's new Trojan War alerts might have seen ORANGE last night around 8:00 pm est when it was announced that The University of Southern California Trojans were selected to face the Illinois Fighting Illini in the January 1st Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, California. According to Goro:

11/19: Note the Pakistan elections planned for January 8 coinciding with the New Hampshire Primary (US presidential) currently scheduled for January 8. While these dates may not hold, something very significant is going on with these elections/polls early January (including the Iowa Caucus on Jan. 3rd). The underlying theme is, again, 'Orange Revolution'. The window - and pretty much the entire month - is also somehow directly or indirectly 'nuclear' in nature and generally 'Deep Impact'. Here is an important fact you're probably not aware of yet: NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft is flying toward us and is set to fly by Earth on/around December 31. That's symbolically huge... and an ominous way to start the New Year. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The Rose Bowl or "The Grandaddy of Them All" is the oldest and most prestigious of all the American Collegiate Football bowl games.

News of the day 4: SPARTANS! Prepare for battle!

Fleetwood Mac along with the USC Trojan Marching Band doing 1979's "Tusk"

Anyone following this story will surely get the significance of the connection to Fleetwood Mac, as they were intimately connected to the Clinton's campaign back in 1993. Bill used their hit "Don't Stop" as his campaign theme song, and the band (long since disbanded) reunited to perform at his Inauguration Ball. [Did anyone notice Christine McVie's Red "33" patch?]

"- The gunman in standoff at the Clinton '08 NH office was identified as TROY Stanley. Not being very subtle there. And this was a hostage situation, reminiscent of the abduction which started the original Trojan War, Hillary instead of Helen this time."

Last Wednesday Sparta Praha played Spartak Moscow just to add to the Spartan review. For craxy things to do with Sparta , try the Spartakiad.

Lots of Spartans in the East, I think its the Byzant influence. Usually , in Communism, Sparta or Spartak were clubs representing the trade Unioins and became known as the 'peoples' clubs. Dynamo was for the KGB and CSKA the Army
